These are certain questions that seem to come up with clients. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions regarding training and the work I do at Lioness. However, if you don’t find the answer you are looking for, please send me a note and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINERS?
My sessions aren't based on one martial arts form or practice. I have studied multiple forms of martial arts & self defense and have cherry picked what works best for women. Additionally, I am yet adding new techniques to the practice, learning is a lifetime commitment. If there is a better way to do something out there, I'll adopt and cultivate it.
DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN ATHLETIC LEVEL TO TRAIN WITH LIONESS?
Does being athletic help? Yes, if you're ever in a pinch being athletic could give you that extra edge. However, I invite everyone to come as they are. We are going to work on muscle memory, for the most part it won't be strenuous. This isn't about sweating, it's about technique.
WILL A SESSION EVER BE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING?
After techniques are taught participants will be asked to have a firmer grip on their partners. It's important to know how that feels.
